Key Responsibilities include (this is an overview and not a conclusive description)
- Provide therapy individual, family, and/or couples counseling
- To maintain document of therapeutic services provided.
- To provide case management to assigned clients.
- To recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.
- Complete documentation in a timely, efficient, and ethical manner.
- To abide by the Ethical Standards of the Texas Department of State Health Services
- Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary
- When required, refer clients to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each and every client
- Maintain required licenses and appropriate insurance
Minimum Job Requirements (this is an overview and not a conclusive description)
- Be licensed to practice in the state of Texas as a LPC or LMFT or LCSW
- Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
- 2+ years of clinical experience, ideally working directly with clients.
- Individual malpractice insurance
- A positive and compassionate attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Spanish speaking a plus
